Abstract
The paper focuses on the task of creating a favorable investment environment at the regional level and role of National rating of investment climate in subjects of the Russian Federation in this process. Kaluga region’s place in this rating is shown. Examples of the best practices for development of region’s investment climate, particularly in terms of average time of registrations of the enterprises, are given.
