Abstract
The article discusses issues related to the influence of global and national macroeconomic indicators on social and economic development of the Russian regions. The influence of institutional environment on the competitiveness of the region. We proposed a systematic approach to the analysis of regional processes taking into account the influence of exogenous factors.
