Abstract
Socio-demographic diagnosis presented in this paper describes the main features of the socio-demographic processes in the Republic of Kalmykia, identifies the main problems of the region and the reasons for their occurrence. Diagnosis is based on official statistics and aimed at obtaining an objective assessment of the socio-demographic situation in the region.
