Abstract
Consumption is currently beyond the scope of reason. Even yesterday, the society consumed in order to meet their physiological needs, ensuring the survival and self-preservation. Today, mass production, and a variety of marketing strategies to orient society is active consumption, and the individual satisfies not only the basic rational needs (food, security, communication, and self-actualization), but also artificially invents new irrational needs. The transition from active consumerism to a reasonable reduction in consumption is fraught with gross domestic product and rising unemployment.
