Abstract
The author analyzes the theoretical and methodological foundations of studying international migration of the population. Migration is one of the key factors in the economic development of the global economy and national economies.
Migration not only affects the economic growth of countries, but leads to demographic, landscape, natural and climatic, spontaneous, psychological changes, affects the ethnogenesis of peoples. Migration processes require the use of planning and structural analysis.
The author concludes that the study of modern migration processes requires the development of new theoretical and methodological approaches.
