SOME METHODOLOGICAL ASPECTS CONCERNING ASSESSMENT OF INFLUENCE OF STRATEGIC DEALS ON COMPANY’S VALUE

Abstract
Some methodological aspects concerning assessment of influence of merger and acquisition deals on intrinsic company’s value are reviewed in this article. It has been suggested using the Ohlson residual income model (RIM) as a basic model. The approach which is based on the residual income model (RIM) has the definite advantages. On the one hand it allows of taking into consideration the influence of different characteristics of a deal and other market indicators on intrinsic company’s value (in the long term), on the other hand it takes into consideration balance sheet indicators of a company as well.
