Abstract
The objective of regional policy, with limited resources, is to focus resources where they can have the greatest economic returns. The need to improve the economic efficiency of regional economy confronts them with a conceptual problem that is primarily connected with the choice of a competitive model of the regional economy, enabling the most the most of the existing potential. Currently, there are many different theories of development and formation of competitiveness, one of which is the theory of cluster management of the economy of the region.
