Abstract
The article considers the questions of introduction of innovative approaches and techniques in organization of the process of career management staff. The proposed definition of career, discusses innovative types of promotion, such as scientific, engineering and administrative career ladders. Examines those areas where these types find their application. The issue of job rotation as a form of horizontal movement in a career.
