Abstract
This article is devoted to studying the role of services in modern economy. It analyses dynamics of the number of active tour operators and travel agencies in Russia. This study allows to conclude that the demand in the market of tourist services under the influence of the information explosion continues to grow, despite the economic crisis, instability in the market and imperfection of legal norms in the field of tourism.
