Abstract
The main tendencies of development of import substitution in the agro-industrial complex in Nizhny Novgorod region, analyzed the main activities for the development of agriculture in the region. Recommendations on further development of import substitution in agriculture in the Nizhny Novgorod region, which are associated with the involvement of small entrepreneurs in agriculture through the implementation of the new regional program "family farms".
