Abstract
The paper discusses the conceptual bases of formation of strategy of diversification of the activities of small businesses. The role of and the reasons for the diversification of activity at the present stage of economic development, as well as its advantages and disadvantages. The main stages of the development strategy of diversification of activities, and the role of strategic analysis for small businesses.
