Abstract
The paper describes the main statutory instruments regulating the development of the domestic pharmaceutical market in terms of import substitution. Its current state is analyzed. The place of the Russian pharmaceutical market on the international arena is revealed. The main trends of development of the domestic pharmaceutical market and the factors hampering its development are defined.
