Abstract
The article deals with economic cooperation between Russia and China as a factor of regional economic modernization of the North-Eastern region of China. Cooperation with China is a great opportunity, but also a great challenge. On the one hand, the interaction with the PRC advantageous Russia. This is a vast market, where it is possible to implement both raw materials and industrial products and services. And also, Russia and China should provide a certain degree of preferential treatment to the Chinese side, but above all, they must ensure that the conditions for preserving the sovereignty and prosperity of the Far East of Russia.
