Abstract
The article examines the role of rate subsistence minimum standard of the Russian population living system. The analysis of the ratio of the minimum subsistence level and minimum wage, the minimum subsistence level on average per head of the population is conducted, paying attention to the study of the population with the monetary incomes below the subsistence minimum. The article formulates ways to increase living standards and improve the regulatory impact in this area.
