Abstract
This article focuses on the current economic and political situation in the world in the oil and gas industry that directly affects the economic condition of the Russian Federation. Said analysis allows to conclude that sanctions a number of European countries and the United States affect the Russian economy and its further development, however, it should also be noted that the introduction of sanctions, there is a downside, which is disastrous for Europe.
